Symposium at Division of Forensic Psychology Conference 2025

On July 1st 2025 Paul presented a powerful and personal story around mental health in digital forensics and the BPS Division of Forensic Psychology Conference in Glasgow. During his presentation many members of the audience were moved to tears, and the power of the symposium prompted the DFP to make this announcement on social media: "On behalf of the DFP, we extend out heartfelt thanks to all the Symposium speakers. This is a profoundly emotive and urgent issue, as reflected in the powerful reactions and visible emotion shared during the event. The tears shed spoke volumes about the depth of feeling and the seriousness of the concerns raised. We stand in full support of the need to safeguard Digital Forensic Investigators (DFIs) in the workplace. The impact of vicarious trauma must be acknowledged, and the protective strategies so clearly and compassionately outlined must now be actioned."
