Paul Gullon-Scott

Mr Paul Gullon-Scott BSc MA MSc MBPsS MCSFS worked initially as an Assistant Psychologist in Spectrum and is currently working into the NHS as a Higher Assistant Psychologist for Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Trust. Paul has an MSc in Psychology from Northumbria University, and an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Newcastle University. He is a full member of the British Psychological Society (Membership Number 463174), and is working towards doctoral qualification. Paul brings a unique set of skills and experience to Spectrum having worked for almost 30 years for Northumbria Police, many of which were spent as a Digital Forensic Investigator (DFI), before transferring to psychology. Whilst at Northumbria Police, Paul was Wellbeing Lead for the DFI team, and won two Wellbeing Awards for his work developing guidance and policy to protect mental health and wellbeing for staff working in that setting, where daily exposure to highly traumatic material was common. Paul has already published 2 peer reviewed articles about mental health in policing, and specifically in DFIs, is a Guest Lecturer for Anglia Ruskin University, has worked with the Forensic Capability Network, and has been approached by multiple police forces and private digital forensic companies for advice and consultancy around developing mental health and wellbeing policy in those settings. Paul has a long-standing interest in mental health and wellbeing, and has experience in delivering group and individual therapy using elements of CBT, DBT, and CFT. In addition to his psychology qualifications, Paul has a BSc in Computing and an MA in Fraud and Financial Investigation.

Within Spectrum, Paul leads on training and consultancy around mental health, secondary traumatic stress, PTSD/C-PTSD, and wellbeing in those working in specialist 'at risk' services such as digital forensics.
